He is currently a dental industry advisor to new start up dental companies and companies looking to expand their distribution network worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2013 Carey was the founder and CEO of ids- Integrated dental systems which was the largest seller of dental implants and accessories through dental dealers in the USA. In 2021 ids merged with Biotech Dental a global leader and manufacturer of dental technology, implants, and orthodontic aligners. In 2023 Biotech Dental was acquired by Henry Schein Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to forming ids Carey was President of Global Exclusive Brands for Henry Schein, Inc., the world\u2019s largest distributor of dental and medical, products to office-based practitioners.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining Henry Schein, he was EVP\/COO of Sultan Healthcare, a manufacturer of Dental Restorative, Preventative and Infection Control products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Lyons was the founder and President of Bier Air, USA, a leader in rotary turbines, through which he introduced electric motors to North America.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also held marketing and sales management positions with Whaledent International (a division of IPCO Corporation International) and Union Branch (a division of Health Chem Corporation). Mr. Lyons earned a BA from City University of New York, Queens College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is the past Chairman of the Dental Trade Alliance and served on its Board of Directors for 13 years in addition to leading many committees for the DTA and the DMA which was the trade association led by Dr. Shils for 50 years.
